From a young age Chelsey has always been a lover of animals and has wanted to work with them, be it large or small. Chelsey has a wide range of experience with animal handling as she has worked with horses on her grandfather’s farm, to caring for her own cats at home.

In 2013 Chelsey graduated with honors from Sheridan College’s Animal Care Program. Shortly after graduating she joined Northpoint Veterinary Hospital’s caring team as a Veterinary Assistant. In 2017 she decided to peruse her career goal as becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. Chelsey attended the Veterinary Technician program at Northern College in Haileybury. She graduated with honors in 2019 and successfully passed her final examination be become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Chelsey returned to the Northpoint family as our very own RVT/ practice manager and performs multiple tasks within the hospital from taking radiographs to preparing, monitoring and recovering patient for surgeries. Chelsey job also consist of blood collection, running in house laboratory tests, monitoring and assisting with surgeries, caring for hospitalized patients, dispensing medication, providing client education and so much more.

At home Chelsey has 2 cats, 2 rats, a German Shephard/Husky, and a very large gold fish. When she is not working at Northpoint Veterinary Hospital she enjoys going to family outings and spending time with her furry friends watching movies.

Savneet

Savneet

 

Savneet has always had a love for animals from a very young age. She’s currently at York University studying Biology, with ambitions to one day become a veterinarian. At home Savneet has a sweet angel girl named Rosie, a 7 year old Labradoodle. In her free time, Savneet enjoys going to the gym, playing hockey, spending time with family, friends and of course Rosie. 

Jodie

From a young age, Jodie has had a lifelong passion for animals and their wellbeing. If she could, she would happily open her home to every animal in need of adoption. Jodie has been working in the animal care field for over 21 years and joined the Northpoint team in 2016.

Her career began in the pet industry as a Kennel Manager before transitioning into the veterinary field in 2005. Over the years, she has developed extensive experience in a variety of areas, including animal care, client communication, and practice operations. Recently, Jodie accepted a Manager position here at Northpoint, where she continues to play a vital role in the daily operations of the clinic. Her responsibilities include reception, patient restraint, surgical assistance, blood collection, radiography, medication dispensing, and client education.

Jodie has also completed several nutritional training modules, enabling her to help clients better understand the important role diet plays in their pets’ overall health and wellbeing.

At home, Jodie shares her life with two energetic and lovable Boston Terriers, Derby and Tyra. She fondly remembers her Boston Terrier Thor, who sadly passed away in early 2023 and will always hold a special place in her heart. Her household also includes a hedgehog named Rosie and a hamster named Stinger, affectionately named after her son’s hockey team. One day, Jodie hopes to add a Bernese Mountain Dog to her family.

Outside of work, Jodie’s time is filled with family activities alongside her husband, Chris, and their two sons, Hudson and Brody. Whether it’s hockey, baseball, or simply spending quality time together, Jodie enjoys every moment with her family.

Natasha

Natasha has always had a deep passion for animals, which has driven her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Now in her fourth year of Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, she is focused on achieving her dream of attending veterinary school. Currently, Natasha cares for her own dog Zara, a four-year-old Cane Corso. When she is not busy studying, Natasha enjoys baking and spending quality time with family and friends. With many years of experience working in Vet Clinics, she truly adores all the animals she meets and takes great joy in assisting in their care.

Selena

Selena

 

Selena is a graduate from Seneca College's Veterinary Assistant program.  Her love of animals started at a young age as she has grown up in a household with a variety of animals from cats and dogs to exotics like ferrets, parrots, snakes and other reptiles. Currently, she has a Bullmasiff named Loki, an American short-haired named Lucifur, a Sphinx named lil Peep, and a gecko named Ongo. In her spare time Selena enjoys reading, gaming, writing short stories, drawing her own original anime characters, and spending time with her friends and family.

 

Alexa

Alexa

 

Alexa has always had a natural calling to help animals. When she was little, she would find herself repairing snail shells and feeding baby birds. Everyone always told her she was going to be in the animal care field when she grew up and that is exactly what she dreamed of. Alexa graduated from University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in 2023 and successfully passed the VTNE to become a registered veterinary technician. Alexa has been trained to work with large, small, and exotic animals; her favourite being horses. She has one dog at home, a Belgian malinois named Tessa, who came all the way from Egypt as a rescue. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family and friends, hiking with Tessa, and relaxing at her cottage. She can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member!

 

Priya

Priya is a passionate and hardworking Veterinary Assistant at Northpoint Veterinary Hospital. Her love for animals has been a constant in her life, as her sisters can tell you how she would transform into different animals as a child everyday and this inspired her to pursue a career where she could work with them on a daily basis. She has always had a passion for all animals and wants to help every furry friend out there.  Currently, she balances her job with her studies at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus as she works ahead in becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician.  At the clinic, Priya plays a key role in patient care, from assisting her team during examinations and surgeries to comforting nervous pets and their owners. Her calm demeanor and empathy make her a natural at handling a variety of animals, especially cats, ensuring they feel safe and cared for. Driven by her love for animals and a desire to help them lead healthier lives, Priya is on a path to making a meaningful impact in the veterinary field.

Camilio

Camilo was born in Colombia and grew up on a farm surrounded by a variety of animals, which sparked his passion for animal care from an early age. This deep-rooted interest led him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. With over 12 years of experience working with a wide range of animals in his home country, Camilo has developed strong skills and deep empathy for animal welfare.

In 2021, he relocated to Canada, where he has been working as a veterinary technician while actively pursuing his veterinary license to practice in the country. In his personal time, Camilo enjoys spending quality time with his family, especially with his 12-year-old daughter, who shares his passion and dreams of becoming a veterinarian herself.

 

 

Rosetta

Rosetta

Rosetta is a Veterinary Assistant graduate from Seneca College with a lifelong love for animals, shaped by growing up with five big dogs. Being surrounded by pets from a young age taught her compassion, responsibility, and the joy animals bring into our lives—values that naturally led her to a career in animal care.

She’s dedicated to making every animal feel safe, comforted, and cared for, and is passionate about supporting both pets and their people through every stage of life. 

Outside of work, Rosetta enjoys reading, spending time with friends, relaxing with her pets, traveling, and making memories with her family. Driven by heart and purpose, she’s excited to continue growing in the field and making a difference—one paw at a time.
