Jodie K.

As long as she can remember, Jodie has always had a huge passion for animals. If given the opportunity, Jodie would own every animal needing adoption. Jodie has been working in the animal field for many years now. She started off at a pet store as the kennel manager and started working in the veterinary field in 2005. She has a gained a wide range of experience since working in this field for the past 14 years. Her duties here at Northpoint include restraint, assisting in surgery and blood collection, radiographs, dispensing medications and helping clients to the best of her knowledge. Jodie has completed several nutritional modules to help clients have a better understanding on how food plays such a huge role in a pet’s nutrition. Jodie currently owns 2 crazy, fun and loveable Boston Terriers named ‘Derby’ and ‘Thor’ and hopes to someday adopt a Bernese Mountain Dog. In Jodie’s ‘down time’ she is kept busy chasing her 2 sons Hudson and Brody around and spending time with her Husband Chris.

Linsday A.

From a young age Lindsay always knew she wanted to do two things in life, One, to work for Walt Disney and the second was to work with animals. Keeping true to her artistic and caring nature she applied to both animation and animal care when she was faced with “life decisions” on further education. Upon acceptance into both programs Lindsay decided to go with her love of animals as she was already free-lancing as a fairly successful illustrator online.

After graduation Lindsay worked at a local pet store as a small animal and bird expert where she valued educating customers about furry or feathered friends. After a few years working in the pet store, Lindsay moved on to the veterinary field working at a busy practice in Brampton where she first met Dr. Chaudhary. Lindsay learned a lot from him, the other doctors and the staff. Having made lifelong friendships with clients and fellow staff members, Lindsay went on to expand her knowledge in vet care to work in an extremely busy emergency and referral hospital. While working in emergency medicine and referral services Lindsay has had the opportunity to see and assist with many unique opportunities. One of her favorite things was to attend different pet related shows, as part of clinic staff, to educate and help with treating animals who were in attendance (many broken nails were fixed). Over 16+ year’s experience, Lindsay has learned and grown most while working in emergency and referral medicine. It has now come time for her to be back at a small practice where she can develop a patient and client relationship that she has greatly missed while working in emergency medicine.

Over the years Lindsay has met many different animals and breeds; however she does have an affinity for rats, Pugs and Shih Tzu’s. She currently has a “grumpy old man” cat named Carlisle, a lively and rambunctious 1.5 year old Shih Tzu Clover and lastly the youngest of her crew, Nova, a beautiful blue brindle Cane Corso who is a “little” lady.

In her spare time Lindsay enjoys spending time being creative, be it through drawing, painting or sewing. Lindsay is an avid vintage toy collector, mainly focusing on her childhood favourites. On the rare quiet night she also loves to binge the latest episodes of her favourite tv shows or movies. Lindsay can also be found at the occasional Disney or Harry Potter trivia nights at hot spots downtown with her friends.

Jessica K.

Jessica’s love for animals started at the young age of 8, when she got her first dog. She always knew she wanted to work in a field where she could make a difference by helping animals. Jessica has been a Veterinary Assistant for 3 years and is planning on attending school in the near future as her goal is to become a registered Veterinary Technician. Jessica takes great joy in learning new things that will help her succeed in her day to day job as she is new to the Northpoint family. As a Veterinary Assistant Jessica’s tasks include restraining, assisting with blood work, routine surgeries, in house laboratory testing, radiographs, monitoring after surgeries, dispensing medication and much more. Jessica understands the love our clients have for their animals as she has a few of her own. Jessica cares for her 2 cats Arlo, Archie and her newest family member Diesel, a chocolate lab. Jessica is excited and is looking forward to what her future holds at Northpoint as well as her future career goals.

Ganeev grew up watching her dad practice and study veterinary medicine, from which she discovered her passion for animals. Although she grew up without a furry friend, she realized her love for animals very early on in life. When she was about 14, she started volunteering at Northpoint and found that her love for animals grew greater. She was then hired as a staff member and her love for animals increases more everyday. At home, Ganeev has a beautiful maltese, named Roxy.

Ganeev is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree, majoring in psychology and neuroscience at Wilfrid Laurier University. Although her goals for the future are unclear, Ganeev is considering pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.
